Lake Titicaca, Peru

Lake Titicaca on Wikipedia

I didn't even cheat slightly on this one!  My random globe click landed me right in the middle of the lake on the Peruvian side.

Bouvet Island

Bouvet Island on Wikipedia

All the locations I had bookmarked to use for posts are lonely, desolate, and look pretty chilly!  This island is a Norwegian dependency in the South Atlantic Ocean.

Skeleton Coast, Namibia

I did a report on Namibia in 6th grade.  Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was born there.  There is an episode of House Hunters: International that takes place in Windhoek, the capital city.  The Skeleton Coast is famous for shipwrecks and seals.

Wake up somewhere new...

Lately I've noticed there are a lot of cities and places in the world that I have no clue what they even look like.  Chances are someone else knows, has been there, and taken pictures.  I want to see it, and I want to share it.

Spin a globe and stop it with your finger.  Where does it land?  That's what I'll be doing each week to provide a sampling of where our world has to offer.  The link will take you to a map of the location.
